We weren't camping in July but that's no reason to not be traveling!
Detours are almost always wonderful. July's short trips included a drive to pick up beef from the processor. Turns out we weren't far from a spot that's been on our bucket list!
Enjoy the detours. The local drives -- anything under three hours is local for us.
This stop was a blessing that included a great meal with delish kombucha, enjoyed browsing the country store, admiring the BEAUTIFUL flowers and got to meet the owner of the Wildflower Cafe in beautiful, historic Mentone, Alabama. Also, the bubbles!
We've been to nearby DeSoto Falls and Little River Canyon a few times but didn't have enough time for a hike during this trip . . . however, you should definitely do that. It's a gorgeous part of Alabama!
The menu at the Wildflower Cafe is superb as well so be sure to arrive in time for a meal!
