What do we hear the most when someone is looking at our rig for the first time?

Usually we're in a parking lot somewhere or maybe set up in a campground when this question comes. This is because typically when we're dispersed camping there's really no one else around.
So a guy will ask Fred:
How do you get your wife to camp like this?
Maybe it's in the attitude. Rebellious. When she hears someone say you can't do that, my wife has that attitude that says, "Just watch me!" Then she does the thing and takes photos of it.
Second thing is that we LOVE spending time together. More than with anyone else. Joined at the hip, some say. Yes, we love our kids. Yes, we love our ministry. Yes, we love our friends. But we LOVE one another.
In all this, with our background in a little cabin in the forest, it's helpful to remember that we didn't start out "bougie" camping. We literally had spent months searching for a regular camper shell for our truck so when we found the MoonLander, it was a definite step up. It's roomier, came with a great roof top fan already mounted, and best of all we didn't need to sell our beloved truck to begin adventuring. But, even had we downsized from a large RV with all the amenities, I believe she would have embraced the off-grid camping lifestyle.
Can Chris offer any advice to the hesitant wife? I think so. She's figured out all the things. Like potty needs, staying clean without a built-in shower, looking put together wherever we are even if she just crawled out of a truck bed camper, made the futon up (because she always makes the bed at home too) and climbed down off the tailgate.
She would also tell her not to miss a moment of the adventure and precious time spent with you. Our lives are but a vapor . . . as one Bible translation puts it, "How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.” James 4:14 Pray about and do what the Lord is telling you to do!
